I'd suggest checking the log file, which is set on the command-line with
-logFile "whatever.txt"
The initial memory use should be only about 200mb (this increases slowly over time to something like 500mb after a few days).

Everything looks fine. Where are you seeing this memory reading?
At the moment a good 360 MB. The log comes from the time he needed 32GB +.
