"The Alliance" achievement

There is an achievement:

The Alliance
You have gathered the interstellar alliance

Any clues? I guess it's orange mission, the one where you pickup alien from rocky planet, deliver him to home and then he ask to take him on the board and bring to a cathedral.

But what then? There are 3 empty slots.. I tried to bring humans/aliens to there.. I tried to just fly around, doing events, visiting everything.. nothing progressed me any further..

I think we have to bring 4 different aliens to the Cathedral. We get them when we visit Rocky planets and the alien asks to take him to a certain planet. Instead, take him to the Cathedral.

I've been trying to solve the new orange ending for hours now to no avail. Seems like I either encountered a bug or I'm doing something wrong.

I brought 2 aliens to the cathedral and now 2 of the 4 slots are filled by the 2 aliens while the 3rd slot is filled with the Omega.

I tried bringing another alien there but nothing happens at the cathedral, and the alien disappears from my ship instead.

I tried to bring an alien and nothing happens. If it supposed to work this way, then clearly I've experienced another bug.

You are luckier than me that you got it working at least partially, so you got better directions than me. To me cathedral accept only first alien and anything else is ignored. It could be I bugged it by terraforming rocky planet immediately after picking up the alien. In such cases aliens wants to go back to same planet lol.

Thanks for hints, I'll start a new game and will try again.

Yeah there is currently a bug that's gonna fixed in the next patch. Sorry about that.

Ah! I thought I got that bug because for the last alien I used an alien with a pet and an all black image as their icon in my ship. Thought that was a different 'quest' and mixing them together broke it. guess not!

Never had any problem with bugs. Gathered the alliance. It was a very satisfying end. Really enjoyed the update.

Has the bug with the meditating alien + cat from the event showing up as a bugged inventory item and then putting itself in the Cathedral as an Omega element ever been fixed in the PC version? I've been playing the Switch version and just got hit by that bug, and of course he took the 3rd slot so I got stuck with it almost complete.
