i want to know which car is the fastest in the game, i thought maybe the RUF's but then the ford gt has better handling so potentially its faster for corners?

Like you mentioned, there's "fastest" then there's "most useful". ;-)

I think the McLaren F1 is a little bit faster than either that top-of-the-line RUF or the Ford GT, but it has some really sucky handling in some situations. On dirt, it just keeps spinning out and I lose control all the time... So it's hard to say which one's fastest. I'd have to say the McLaren F1 because it gets up to speed pretty quick and you can keep it there (on the highways) for longer.

I've never seen a Zonda or a Porsche in my game, so I also haven't found all the cars yet either. :-P

I have found the Corvette ZR1, the Audi TT RS, and the Camaro SS (2010) to be really good mid-range cars with a lot of power and stability and can hold up a little bit when banging them around, as opposed to the really fast super-cars like the Lamborghinis and McLarens and Shelby GTs and the RUFs that just can't take much of a beating.

So, it's a toss-up for me between the Lamborghini (which one is fastest? I don't know), the McLaren F1, one of the RUFs (or multiple ones?), the Ford GT, one of the Audis (or was it Aston Martin? one or more of them can go 200+ mph), or the Zonda Cinque...

Strangely enough, I can find NO data online anywhere comparing them in speed, handling, and acceleration... Usually, with most games, there would be a few dozen sites comparing and contrasting each one, but not with this game...

They are tied pretty close, yes. Lamborghini seems to accelerate a bit faster in the lower speeds, but the McLaren seems to get a few mph advantage in the upper ranges, with the McLaren being a little easier to control in the turns and when accelerating on dirt portions. Just my observations; your mileage may vary! ;-)

Zonda.But only if you can handle It.Easy to spin out,but accelerating is godlike fast.
I use my CTR the most.
Ford GT,though expensive at the start of the game,will get you through most of the game,untill like when 80% is complete.
For the first half of the game,just get GTR.
