Anybody able to connect to servers?
So, 11 days after complaining to the Ubisodt "support" about the servers being down before the official date, I finally got an "answer". It was suggestions on how to troubleshoot my internet connection.

I know the official servers are down and have been for a long time. As ridiculous as it is, is anybody able to connect to them? Anybody at all? Even knowing the result, more data points for science...

Ubisoft screwed up with one of their uplay updates deeming some titles, such as DSF unable to connect. What the launcher hands of to the game is wrong data, and the game tries to login/connect with wrong credentials. However, if you're still interested, the servers are down for realsies now. The alternative is a custom server which is relatively easy to set up

Not really interested in multiplayer stuff. Can this alternate server activate the singleplayer bonus content or is that lost forever now?

Thanks. I'm currently not at my own PC, but I will give it a try next week.

Just got around to trying it, got demotivated by virus warnings (Windows Defender didn't want to let me execute the installer). Then got different zipped versions and checked with an online scanner that reports a trojan. I'm not really that invested to get the extra content to risk it, so I wanted to play the base game itself.

Well, Ubisoft had other ideas. On start, they updated Ubisoft Connect without asking to a version that doesn't work on Windows 7 anymore (I know, it is old, but so is my PC until I build a new one next year). Now I can't play any part of any Ubisoft game. Is there any way they can screw up even more?
