I'd be all for it, but I'd rather have the game on GOG than on Steam since they handle old games better.
Even if Ubisoft can't use the older code and port the games, it'd probably be easier to just copy the story and level design of the original games than create a new sequel or prequel.
The first game is already on PC, but I liked the PS1 version better; I don't remember why.
What I do remember is that I enjoyed the gameplay and Tanner fit well as the player.
I also appreciated that parking garage mission they added to 2011's Driver San Francisco, even if it did lack the New York (night) music found on PSX by Allister Brimble.
A well-made PC remake would be great for fans and others that don't play with iPhones, and a good way to make some extra profits for Ubisoft while they work on other ideas.
If they do bother improving the maps like they did with Miami in Driv3r, that'd be nice too.
I enjoyed Driver San Francisco on consoles, and it makes me miss the older games.

Would love to see these two games being remastered and optimized for modern PCs.
