If I suck at the timing for the coins should I even bother?
I'm terrible at timing the spinning coins. Should I even bother trying to enjoy the game?

And I don't mean like, 'oh you know, you win some you lose some' No. I mean if out of 20 spins I might get 1 perfect.

Don't sugar coat it, still playable ?

It's true that coins might bring you small benefits and it appears in many places. Although you're not good at coin flips, still you can play and clear the game.
Searching for a method to reduce fatigue of coin game. Or it could be turned into a different game.

Thank you for giving us a precious feedback.

I think the most you can miss out on coin flipping are the alms in the Monastery, because you can get very tangible rewards for specific positioning of coins.

Other than that you get a small bonus, but it's not something that will make the game unplayable (I am not very good at coin flipping myself).

I found that more candles lit at the same time tends to give you better coin flip results.

You don't have to bother with it. The first time I won Free Mode World, I didn't even know that coin wasn't random and you can time it.

If you find that you are bad at timing the coins, i.e. getting significantly less than 50%, just close your eyes. That should get you to 50%.

The coin toss system need improvement. The only part you want to miss is for relic so you can redo the mission and get extra research point and for the donor prize list if you want something specific.

For me it would be better to replace the coin toss for the event you may want to miss by something else and to just put a fully random toss for the rest. Then just add some way to affect the result in your favor (candle+research+some generals traits for exemple). It would also make it faster and improve the speed of the game.

I played through the 3 scenario's and enjoyed pretty much everything, but during the thrid scenario, I was getting bored and annoyed with the coin system. Not because it is hard, but because it is so frequent. After a while it seriously becomes something that will haunt your dreams, because you've to stare at it so many times :steamfacepalm:

That said, I can understand the OP expereniences a slower paced game, where as I was pretty much always able to get a quick bunch of Pagans or wheat to get something done the same month. Leaving the coin system to RNG doesn't sound fun to me, but replacing it with something else, like the 'guess the cards game' would be a stpe forward.

Im a Game Pass PC player btw.
