Keeps Disconnecting with Message: "Disconnected. An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host."
"Disconnected. An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host." I have not finished a single game since, say, last week, without getting kicked out to the log in screen, and having this message popped up. It often kicks me out when I either exit my will, type in chat, or use the button to post my will. Sometimes it will freeze the game and as soon as I type in chat or select someone to lynch (yknow, interact with the game) it kicks me out and pops out the message. It's really annoying, and the first time I encountered it was (I think?) the end of last week, when it happened to me nearly 15 games in a row. I searched for an answer but at that time, it seemed no one was having the same problem, nor did anyone have a solution. I finally gave up for the day and stopped trying. I didn't play for a few days until today, when I hoped it would just have resolved itself, but no. I got logged out with the same message again, 2 games in a row, before I came here and now I am posting a report about it. If anyone could provide me with a solution, I would be very grateful as Town of Salem is a game I very much enjoy, but this issue is just too tedious for me to want to play. Thank you

Please enable your playerlog ingame and post it here when you crash again so our developer can look into it.

Should I paste the whole log? Or just the last part of it, where I'm getting kicked? I actually didn't get kicked for a while this game. It didn't kick me until I got lynched (I was mafioso), and then it froze right before it typed "You have died!" (or whatever the message is). When it froze, I typed in chat, and then it logged me out. Here's the last 30 or so lines before, during, and after my game crashed:

Hey, I know I just posted those logs but it kicked me out another 5 times, and 2 of the 5 times (the 3nd and 5th), it logged me out with a different message. (Then went back to the original one). Here are those logs.

I checked my internet connected and it was connected, and working perfectly fine on anything else so knowing that, and also considering the other message I've been getting, I don't think it's my internet. I don't know if this is one problem, or if its 2, but either way, here's the logs. (The message was "It appears you have lost your internet connection or the server has logged you out. Please check your connection before logging in again")

Sadly, no updates to speak of yet. I forwarded it to the Devs, there's a handful of people with similar issues, but they're having a hard time trying to figure out where it's coming from, because everything seems to be fine server-side as well as on the player logs.

I decided to try playing the game on another computer that belongs to my family, the same steam account, same ip, and same town of salem account, but it disconnected me the same way(s). I thought i'd let you know in case this helps.
Any updates on this? I'm having the same problem.

I am as well having the same Problem Have had this happening to me 100% of the time im trying to play , Every game I play it kicks me Normally I get to day 2 and get kicked , I am Hard Lined so its not my WiFi kicking me , but Every game I play it kicks me , even when I let a Friend lead it kicks me And its really Annoying id Love to be able to play my Game again its One of my Favorites, So if someone could Help me fix this it would Be GREAT.

This is the same crap happening to me and they still haven't figured it out. There are some nights I am able to play but others they keep giving me that error. Its really annoying. I didn't wanna waste money on a game that never lets me play.

I just want to say I am also having this same issue. I am a bit lazy and created a different topic, I will delete it but want to say this man is not alone. I am also encountering this problem on a slightly older computer.

I too am having the same issue
I havent been able to play since i downloaded the game. It stops loading as soon as i entrer a game. very frustrating.

SERIOUSLY!! I cant get into a game at all, so frustrating.
