But something you should know is that there are no private matches. So if you wanted to play a game with just your friends you'd need a full house of 15 people. You can however invite friends to a lobby where you can find a custom / classic game with them. Haven't played custom in awhile. But the start game button unlocks to the host once 15 people are in the game. And classic mode starts at 15 people automatically. (atleast in the beta patch notes. Don't know if auto start is out yet)
This game is a lot of fun to play with friends. Just remember. If you want to talk out of game source (steam voice chat, Skype, Teamspeak ect.) That you can only tell your role or your name. Anything else is cheating, Although lying isn't. So it's really fun to bring the salem madness of lying and deceit into the out of game chat.
(This is also a F2P game on browser if you don't mind the occasional glitch. Steam version is much more stable and no banner ads!)
Else just follow what RollPlayingGamer said and you should be okay.
