EDIT: Pardon me for being aggressive. I really think changing something that's been here for 10 years is not a good thing.
You're free to not like the change, however, if a game wants to stay alive, it needs to bring in a broader public. Removing unnecessary sexual references doesn't just open the game up to a wider public, it also creates more player retainment because people no longer have to be subjected to inappropriate jokes of sexual nature, or even forceful non-consensual sex jokes due to a role's name.
When a simple name change makes a huge positive difference for a lot of people, and is only an issue of "I don't like change" for others, the choice really is easy.
You'll get over the name change.
Roleblock immunity was not seen by the role, neither prior to the name change nor after. Only as someone who is roleblock immune do you get the message: "Someone tried to roleblock you, but you are immune!"
As said: The name-change was solely that, a name change. There were no additional changes to either Tavern Keeper nor Bootlegger. In fact: Both roles, apart from having their name changed, haven't had a single change to the role or how it works since the introduction of the roles at the start of the franchise.
Then just claim Tavern? Or even better, continue calling it Escort.
