Tips For Ranked Players

Hey there! I've recently hit master tier and want to give some of my strategies out in the open as I have retired from playing for the remainder of the season.
Feel free to add to the discussion, these are general tips I have for players hoping to climb the ranks.

EVILS:
-When playing a neutral evil (NE) role, make sure to fake a vet bait d1 by talking. This prevents a potential spy outing you D1 as the witch/exe, as the mafia is less likely to target you.
-MAFIA do not attack day 1 speakers.
-If you are an executioner, do not fake a town protective (TP) role like bg/doc. It is far too passive to get your target hung, and far too risky as you become a potential target to mafia causing your death in the circumstance of you becoming a jester.
-Stop faking invest as a Witch, almost everybody has caught onto this meta. The TK strategy isn't awful if you are jailed N!.
-TRY as an executioner. It's far more entertaining to side with mafia and witch.
-Do not witch people into the jailor N1. The chances of you finding a vigi is slim, and significantly higher for you to accidentally send a mafia member into the jailor.
-Keep in mind that a witch can force a jailor to execute. This includes the mayor.
-Witch the jailor when you have a majority.
-STOP sending your ambusher out onto the Jailor the first night.
-STOP using multiple variants as a hypnotist. This is the fastest way for town to figure out a hypno game. Stick to one choice (transporting, roleblocking, witching) and do not change unless it is necessary and beneficial for the mafia. It's almost never a good idea to use attacked and protected, as the doctor role shows nursed. Attacked and protected could be used to fake a potential retributionist, but again, your game would have to align for that possibility.

When on stand, please try to create a will. Communicate with your teammates as mafia the night before for roles, and try to claim as early as possible or build trust with a town-aligned member.

TOWN ROLES:
-LO, TP, cycle your positioning away from jailor every night. Coordinate with each other and communicate a chain if possible.
-DO NOT EVER HANG A TP CLAIM DAY 2 THAT HAS BEEN VOTED UP AND NOT FOUND SUSPICIOUS. Under absolutely no circumstance should you hang a doctor or bodyguard n2. The chances of there being multiple is incredibly slim.
-Stop claiming vigilante. The only exception is if you are a veteran and your jailor knows you are bluffing to bait a witch.
-SPIES SHOULD ALWAYS BUG.
-If you are visiting, write it down. This one should honestly go without saying.
-Don't vet bait as a veteran. I've won more games by playing this way personally. You are likely to kill a stray escort, but if it gets you confirmed and you communicate well with your town you should win regardless.
-CALL FOR TPLO. If the jailor hasn't revealed, don't be afraid to put out a cry for it. Early communication helps significantly.
-TALK, TALK, TALK. Don't accuse somebody without a hunch, but even if you have no information, it doesn't hurt to say "I'm medium, there were no dead last night".
-Learn to scumread. If somebody isn't talking, or their will doesn't align with yours, don't stay silent about it.
-Stop revealing TK roles (vig/vet/mafio/amb result) publicly as an investigator. Whisper it to your trusted townies (Jailor, LO, e.t.c) and ask them for a role privately if the witch is alive.
-Mayors should wait in a 6v6 situation for evils to out themselves with voting.



THE META:

Jailor calls day one for TP/LO/ESC/SPY
Transporter should move two people night one
Vigilante claims TK
1f1 on accuser (one for one, or lynching in exchange for jailor execution between two players, the accuser usually is lynched first)
TIs should check non-speakers or people slowly voted.
Voting for role does NOT, in fact, help evils in most circumstances.
Medium posts everything, even if it is useless. Medium should paste line by line when on stand. COPY. do NOT rewrite deadchat. Mobile phone TOS users do not interact with this comment.
TIs post all information, regardless of results.
Always write exactly what the red box says happened at night. Were you roleblocked as a veteran? include the fact that you were immune. This goes for retributionist, transporter, and escort. (TIP: this also works when creating a believable fake will as an evil role! the more detail, the better.)


THE KNOWN COMMON MISTAKES:
Executioner faking sheriff
Witch faking lookout with no visitors ever
Janitor faking medium without a good deadchat (TIP: save text from previous games to use as pretend banter between dead players! Pre-write text before you are jailed so it's believable!)
Claiming mayor when in jail and never speaking. It hardly works, but I suppose if it's night 5 and you haven't spoken, you can attempt to see how bad the town thinking is.
