Perma ban for language / Insulting

I do appreciate Emily posting on my old Discussion and ill accept that the ban is permanent and final but i do understand that for example, cheating , providing phishing links or pornografic or gore material will result in a perma ban but i did not expect a perma ban for language , i think TOS is taking it too far with that desicion but if they think thats right, that i compare that to IRL someone getting Death penalty for Hatespeech but that doenst exist and not make sense but in TOS it does. I know im not allowed to buy a new account which i wont do anyways i havnt played the game in 3 years os i just tried to get my account back. Emily if u read this i appreciate your reply and best wishes to you

to be fair you can go to prison for hate speech in some countries like uk. put no matter what people think or feel about it the rules exist for a reason in any game. it's not hard to follow. most people don't get banned.

all you say is right even if i would say in those countries u go to jail for hatespeech dont really have freedom of speech or with other words whats and opinion, whats a reason, whats a question and what is hatespeech, just because you feel offended by something doesnt mean its wrong but i never heard in a game that u get perma banned for langauge, like name a game were that happens, u get 24 h ban, 1 week ban yes or you get yoru rights removed to use global chat yes but never heard of a perma ban for language. I was using language once in all my time of TOS and that language was in my last will when town hanged me coz other maf gamethrow, so it was towards a gamethrower not an innocent player and that one time was enough for a perma ban, feels like back in the days were 1 wrong word could get u killed xD

also if it would happen multiple times that u get warned about your language or that u get multiple 24 hour bans for language then i would understand that a permaban has to follow

We only give immediate permanent bans for extreme things like homophobia, racism, sexism and pedophilia.

If you did none of the above, you can safely assume you had 3 prior suspensions.

However, as a last note: You are welcome to repurchase the game and play again, seeing as since the move to Pay-to-play, we ban accounts, not people, so ban evasion is no longer a thing.

As a second note: You can provide me your ToS username and I can give some more insight in the case, since it's obviously just guesswork without being able to check for myself.

Only really heinous offenses are premabanned without suspension. What Flavorable wrote. If you used any of those, then you had to have known it was coming. You don't just use any of the mentioned offenses in real life casually so why would you in the game? It's really not hard to NOT use those particular words/topics...

But if you didn't, then you probably did something less severe multiple times. At that point, i think you can even appeal, though i wouldn't count on it. You're welcome to buy the game again, but then just be picky about what you say, yes?

I too would suggest you give your username so Flavorable can tell you why exactly you were banned. That way you can at least avoid it in the future should you want to buy the game again.

as others have said. if it was your first ban then you did something very very VERY wrong. if not then it was your 3ed ban. just know any type of toxicness or all up "not nice" stuff will get reported. just buy the game again and dont do any of that stuff. its very easy to be nice, harder to be mean and toxic


also, bit werid your saying flavs real name instead of there username. almost like you looked it up just to use it to make flav look at it here. if that was to me that would seem a bit passive aggressive (for a bit i was like "whos emily" before remembering thats flav, lol)

Regardless of how OP found out her name, on the forums it's preferable to use usernames.

Regardless of how OP found out her name, on the forums it's preferable to use usernames.

shes got it listed on her steam profile, so op prob went there, saw her name and posted it

its also why i have a fake name on mine *shock, my name isnt really lucy!! lol*

Thx for your reply but i will just accept that its final. First of all i havnt played hte game in 3 years so i wont remember my TOS Username unless i can find it out over my email etc like i said its been 3 years just felt like stoping by again and see if i get my accoutn going. I will not buy the game again, i dont lack money but i sure wont support a game that 1 time bans language and then give them more money makes no sense for me. As for as i remember i never been banned or warned so it was 1 time thing and if i have ot guess maybe the F word or the N word or the J word, im 99% sure it was one fo those and if u say now this is final then since its like u mentioned above then alright but like i said i rather accept the ban then and spend money on other games rather then supporting a game that 1 time bans for language. Anyways thx for your reply and thx for all the other people commenting and for those who wonder because of the Name well i saw it on her steamprofil so why wont i say her real name then ? My name is also on my profil so if someone would say robert i wouldnt have a problem with it lol

well take this note yes even if it was one time for language any other game you play you need to watch your conduct. those games will also ban you. this isn't like this is a rare thing as i mentioned. rules exist for a reason.

yes there is other games where u get banned for language but in like a ban for 24 hours, or 7 days ban or if u get banned multiple times alrdy then permanent or like the game ISS handles it they ban you from global chat for language but there is no game out there that permabans your account for 1 time language, besides TOS

Rainbow Siege has a zero tolerance. how about instead of making excuses understand its what you said. im no angel myself. if i truly said what was on my mind i would be banned. it has nothing to do with snowflakes or sensitive people just have better gaming habits. this isn't just your friends but random people.

Since yesterday, dozens of players have been saying that they received an automatic instant ban after using a racist or homophobic slur in text chat. Ubisoft has confirmed to PC Gamer via email that a new banning system is live in Siege.
