the jester is there to make you worried about voting guilty.
jesters are on their own "team". the only way they win is by getting hung. they therefore will do anything they can to get hung.
getting a confirmed townie lynched is a good way to get lynched yourself. do not forget this. they'll also troll you to get you to lynch them just to shut them up. just use the /ignore command.
i think i've got a few thousand town points still laying around, i think i just might get me some scrolls....
^ That right there is the problem. People will assume your an exe/jester if you're acting like one. If you act like you want to be hanged, people will assume you're a jester and NOT hang you, and the Maf/SK/Jailor will kill you insted.
Or if you're constantly gunning for only 1 guy and trying to blame 1 guy for everything, or act too soon to blame someone without proof of some kind, even false proof, will get you ignored by everyone and not trusted. What's more, if it's proven you are an exe, they will protect the victum who becomes a confirmed townie.
The point is to be subtle. If you're not subtle, you will most likely fail.
And the only game I played as Exe was actualy really funny. I just randomly voted for the person I was against on day 3 and everyone followed suit and voted guilty. Was on chaos too... we only had one mafia and he managed to win XD
The real sk and godfather will never kill you as you take pressure off them.
The town will leave you alone at first becasue they assume you are jester.
However, as more and more people die, the town always cave. They always kill you and hang you..
To get people to believe you all you have to do is repeat a simple lie over and over again.
The overly dominant fake lookout approach. works for both exe and jester, mostly exe.
"Guys, X person visited x person that died. He must be lookout."
"TOWN VOTE X person. TOWN VOTE X person. TOWN VOTE X person."
person dies, town is flabbergasted, but ultimately assumes you're exe and moves on. As jester, your job isn't done here. you repeat, and some smart people will be thinking you're jester, but if you constantly harass town in a manner that doesn't seem spammy, you will also come off as a bit of a more aggressive mafia. I use this technique maybe 10% of the time, depending how dumb town comes off as, when Jester, 90% of the time when Exe, depending if I was paying attention or not as exe.
This works great, for some reason, for jester.
"X person is mafioso" says you
"*you* what is your role?" asks a random townie that thinks he or she is so clever.
you remain silent, how suspicious.
You continue to say "town needs to hang this person."
"*you!* What is your role!!" Demands a townie.
"I am medium" says you.
The so clever town then realizes there isn't a likely way for a medium to exist, or even a way for medium to know that type of information.
Alternatively, if it seems too obvious, just claim an investigative role. When asked for a will, slowly type out a fake one and post it in chat. Play it off like you're sheriff, marking nearly everyone as NS. The so smart town will think they're so clever and click guilty, every time. Don't fight for your defense too much though, being thirsty not only convinces the delicate minds you're telling the truth, but the smarter townies might think you're being an obvious jester.
In very few cases, meta is a good approach as well. As an exe, you can play a mercenary and help mafia in exchange for helping you lynch your target. Alternatively, you can be a huge ♥♥♥♥ and tell town "I'm exe and willing to help mafia win, don't kill x person until we can hang them" and then town will probably vote you up because, as history has proven to me before, most people are little kids or grown ass dumb asses.
When all else fails, claim survivor. When the any is revealed and neutral benign dies, you're immediately targeted for death. You also can claim survivor and say you're helping mafia.
None of these strats work all the time everytime. There is no perfect way to win that works everytime, because the amount of autism within town varies. To say it's impossible to win, however, is simply false.
Another good strategy for now is to spam whispers since noone can mute you.
