If your game freezes, it means your client lost connection to the server. For whatever reason, be it either your own connection, or one of the lines to the server itself.
There's about a dozen posts about this kind of issue on here, I suggest checking them out, starting with the "Error connecting to server" pinned post.
Also, make sure you try playing with an ethernet cord if you're playing via WiFi, because there's a lot of out of your control factors that could make your connection hiccup and thus DC from the game, since the game has no buffers (like most flash games).
There is a remake of the game in the works and from what I've heard (but this is unofficial info) they do plan on trying to find some way for people to have a window to reconnect without it affecting the players who don't have any issues.
Ive never used an ethernet cord and ive been playing for years and things were find till this week so im pretty sure that isn't the problem. I've also just played a full game no problem on my very slow very laggy laptop which is upstairs even farther from my router and that didn't freeze once.
Something I don't understand is...I can play every fps perfectly fine with much better graphics. (CSGO,Left for Dead, TF2, Overwatch, Battlefield 4, ect) But this game is so far behind in the buffer department that a large portion of players constantly DC...(and more people DC'ing during games hurts the other players because if they were mafia or an important role like jailor it'll be game decideing).
I can sort of understand though that since this is a flash game maybe the devs have less server capacity so there isn't any "buffering".
But what I really really don't get is why every other browser based multiplayer game never freezes. Agar.io, Cards against humanity, Board Game Online, ect all free games which live off donations have much better servers or atleast "buffering" because I've never freezed up while playing them and those games can last much longer than a TOS round.
I would be wanting to refund this game if it wasn't gifted to me. To think that completely free-to-play games have better servers is frustrating and i'm seriously considering just shelling out 10 bucks to play Throne of Lies (Which seems to have working servers because it's in 3D and i've heard the dev's actually care).
Back to TOS i've already looked on the BMG help page for steam and I've done every step there, I've also looked through many of the posts on these forums trying to find a fix but it's just the same suggestion over and over and that's to get an ethernet cable. I cannot get an ethernet cable to the computer I am using because the router is in another room and I cannot move it. I have a hard time believing that an ethernet cable will even solve the problem because again, I've been playing for years without one without any problems. So that's why i consider this a bug. But maybe my internet provider or the "lines to the server itself" is the issue, execept my friends can connect fine without any freezing.
Is there any other way to fix this other than an ethernet cable? I've seen you posting on other threads about this topic so I assume that you've read more suggestions than I have.
