So, my friend has recently been experiencing a problem where this message pops up, but he only ever gets disconnected when connecting to a game. He can Log in, chat in party, start parties, and join parties just fine, can even send messages to online friends, But as soon as the start button is pressed, it immediately shows the message "____ has joined the game" "____ Has Left the game" and on his side he recieves the "An existing connection has been forcibly closed by the remote host." message. And we have no idea how to fix it. We've tried everything we can think of, please helpe. I checked the forums and even some of the discussions relating to this, but could find absolutely nothing.

This sounds like a possible firewall issue, blocking the user from connecting to the games servers. Just a guess though.

im with above. sounds like your firewall is blocking it.

try tuning it off and load the game, if it works then its 100% the firewall, if not... i donno (also remember to run back on the firewall)

i remember killing floor 2 doing it to me. i had to go into my firewall and tell it to allow the game data. you could always google it, being differnt firewalls have differnt ways to update/change data

I have the same issue. Disabling my firewall didn't work, nor did exempting Town of Salem from my firewall while it was on. I'm unsure why this keeps happening but it renders this game entirely unplayable.

Be patient, there's only 3 devs and they're busy with their "real lives", it might be a while.

Yeah, I just wanted to make sure it was an issue with the game, not on my end. Guess I'll just have to wait
