Guys see the bigger picture. Its not only about bm role. But you can be a mafia or someone who needs or wants to act like bm'ed and act like you are bm'ed or something. Its not just about getting bm'ed.

I did, but if you can claim "I am blackmailed" on the "chopping block" before you are hanged, that ruins the complete point of Black Mailer. Shouldn't even be able to type that out just like not being able to speak during the different days. One minor issue, One major fix.

But that's the whole point. That helps jesters get lynched, other evils not get lynched, and sometimes even get townies hung. It's a tool for people to use. What's the point of not being able to type anything? How would that solve anything?
Then everyone would just stay silent and people would have to guess if they're blackmailed or not.

Just remove the message when someone is blackmailed. Gives the mafia role BM a significant boost where it's needed. People can spam votes then to signify to they are blackmailed at that point. People can lie if needed be, just make it fair explicitly.

But you still didn't explain exactly what that would do, how it would affect the game and what's the benefits of that, over having a message.

With the message - people can spam vote to show they're blackmailed, or fake they're blackmailed
Without the message - people can spam vote to show they're blackmailed, or fake they're blackmailed

With the message - people on stand can type anything and it will show up as "I am blackmailed." or write "I am blackmailed." themselves to fake it.
Without the message - people on stand can type anything and it won't show up or just don't write anything to fake it at all and town will think they're blackmailed.

What's the "buff" here? I'm not seeing it.

You can always "announce" that your blackmailed by spamming the vote. That usually does the trick, if being blackmailed is that frustrating. Personally, it doesn't seem that bad

You definitely could speak while on stand while BM'd before. Idk how a mod of the discussions playing since 2015 doesn't know this tbh.

You could also just spam . over and over again to flood the chat with I am blackmailed with only a small delay in doing so, AFTER that was patched out. It's now much better now than it used to be. Blackmailer was a little useless back then, but is rather effective now.
