Framer buff and spy nerf

I have heard many people complaining spy is too much OP and that framer needs a buff. I have thought about this problem alot. Some said that framer's active ablity, the frame must be permanent for the game, like the hex master's hex, but I disagree with this idea, because framers are still pretty much useless if there's a spy, and if there is no spy, framers could cause full chaos, which makes town of salem actually a luck based game, town wins if theres, and not if there isnt a spy. I come up with a new idea, what if framers not just get the permanent frame ablity, but can also visit a mafia member instead of framing somebody at night? (If a sheriff checks a mafia at night when the framer visited them, the sheriff will see the framed mafia as not suspicios.) Though this new framer ablity is not just a buff for them, it is actually a huge nerf for spies, because if somebody gets visited in a non-transporter game, it actually confirms them as a non-mafia, while if framers have this ablity, players will need to take account of it, which makes a spy game much more chaotic.

In that case, I suggest you check out the "Suggestions" part of the forum I linked.

It's the official forum (you can log in with your ToS account info) where you can post suggestions that generally get feedback from long-term players, short-term players, Mods and where need be even Devs. ;)

The new ability is still ruined by the spy, meaning this post is still relevant, at least for the nerf spies.

I feel like the spy should be a whole different role, I liked the whisper thing, that seems like a good "info gathering" thing, but right now the spy makes no sense and is either extremely useless or extremely powerful.

This change did not go through. This was a discussion on what Achilles was working on.
