Account doesn't exist anymore
Tried logging in and it prompted me for a password for the first time since purchasing the game. No option to reset the password so checked the web, invalid username. Does this mean i get back my $5?

You can reset your password via this form: http://www.blankmediagames.com/phpbb/ucp.php?mode=sendpassword

If you want to change your password you can follow the instructions in this link: http://www.blankmediagames.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=13987

Not when it isn't recognizing any email addresses or usernames. I forgot the password, but I know my username, plus it's still entered in the field. Seems like I was sold a game and then had my account deleted.

You should send us an email at Info@BlankMediaGames.com explaining the situation and we can get this fixed for you.

I think I'm over it. It's just that this has never happened to me before. I've never bought a game and had my account inexplicably deleted. I bought the game 3 years ago, and for the first two years my information was saved, no problem; all I had to do was click on the steam login after linking the account. Then I stop playing for a year or so and received an error when trying to login, so it still had the password entered, but the account no longer exists, as evidenced when I try to reset the password and receive "invalid username" and "invalid email" address, even though I can clearly still see blank media correspondence in my inbox.

Even if it was, say, gta5, where I paid a lot more, I would probably also be too contemptuous to spend days and weeks emailing people, getting back something which shouldn't have been taken away in the first place.

Anyway, thanks for your "help." I'll just wallow in irritation for a few more days and then probably forget about it.

I don't think it's taken away. It's probably that Steam didn't remember the password and you never activated your account via the activation e-mail.

You could also have a ban. Same thing happens when I got a day ban.

Try again in 24hrs

edit: just pm trilbot on the tos website to see

The non activation theory sounds interesting, but a little confusing. I do have almost 170 hours played, after all. So I made an account, which wasn't activated, but nevertheless playable, and linkable to steam, but since it wasn't activated, the system deleted the account and email address I presumably used during registration, unless none was required, but only after 2 years?

Or did I misunderstand, Flavorable?

I don't think I was banned. I played quite a lot in 2015 and then only a bit in 2016 and very little last year. Hadn't loaded it up in probably 4-5 months. It's also usually customary to notify someone of a ban -- maybe the account was deleted, and then banned, so as not to receive the notification?

I just wanted to whine a little. I didn't even know this was a support platform. I don't know that I'd want to play in 3-5 days time, or however many weeks. It was a spontaneous decision to load it up two days ago. Guess it would have been prudent of me to have read the posting guidelines. Maybe self-pity isn't allowed.

I don't think Steam deleted it. Somewhere, over the course of time, the "remember password" gets cleared, it generally happens when you uninstall a game, or clear a game's cache. In that event, if you haven't remembered your password, normally, you'd go to the ToS website to reset your password, since your ToS account is linked to the forum database. And while you don't need to activate your forum account before playing the game, you do need an activated forum account for password retrieval, so the forum (which is the main database that handles password resets) doesn't recognize you as an active account. Generally, this can be fixed by resending the activation e-mail or, in case that doesn't work, one of the Devs can usually fix it for you and it should just be a one-time problem (i.e. once it's fixed, it won't break again, unless the entire user database explodes or something)

Also, self-pity is plenty allowed, but most people who do post here with questions actually want answers. :)
