Doctor + Bodyguard combo.

I had a match a day or two ago where i was a doctor. I find out who the bodyguard was and kept healing him. He got attacked a few times and killed the mafia while he lived.

When there was just a few of us left, i whispered to him that he keeps guarding me while i heal him. We got another few mafia that way.

Now. This alone let us win the game for town when the mafia had the majority. We were the only town left. Even the blackmailer heard us whispering and couldn't do anything about it.

This was so op. Basically if the doctor and bg keep protecting/healing each other can anyone hurt them? Cause that way beither the doctor nor the bg will die and whoever attacks either will be killed by the bg.

If the maf had majority, why didn't they just lynch one of you and then kill the other?

I found this strat before and shapeshifter came along and listed everything that will make it fail.

Witch, Arso (igniting), Vig, Jailor, Escort/Consort, Trans...having to believe your partner is actually who they claim to be...

It's nice and will most likely benefit the town but there are a lot of potential hangups that can break it. I wouldn't really advise doing it until the later part of the game. Early on, it's a recipe for falling victim to a Mafia ruse.

Well they didn't at first, they also didn't know we were doing it until later i suppose. Because they attacked mea nd the BG a few times, but they kept attacking other town. They did try to lynch me but thankfully i never got enough votes. Why they didn't do it later idk... But it worked great.

That combo is one of the most powerful things that town can do, however, like others have said, there are multiple ways it can be broken.

Yeah, multiple things have to fall into place for this to work. Luckily, this time it did and against all odds (maf majority) it somehow worked.

I have no idea why didn't they just lynch us lol. I guess they didn't figure it out on time.
