Game not working: Black screen when starting up
im trying to make this game work on our pc (Windows 7 64 bits), but the game is not working.
A black screen when starting and a crash to the desktop.

Tried the following things:

- Check steam files (no error found)
- Reinstall
- Run as Admin
- Run compatibility mode (Vista,XP Desktop Aero related)
- safemode / nologo

Dumpfile created is over 350 Mb big and kinda heavy to check.

Another troubleshoot game (Dead Island) is working after some troubleshooting


Maybe the problem lies in the fact that all the .scr files are not readable. Can anyone copy/past those files and the location so i can create them? Thanks :)

this happend to me when i had a matrox tripple head installed. the game would black screen all the time. only fix i could come up with was to uninstall this game remove the tripple head and all remnants of its software. this did fix my issue. if you have any kind of unique video setup or hardware in your rig remove it and try again. or uninstall it forever and keep your nice hardware intact.

Try compatibility with windows 98. Worked for me.
