i didn't really manage to crack that one up, how do i solve this?

His hint is unrelated to the tile puzzle in that room.
You need other hints (2 should be enough to brute force it, and are easily accessible - but you can get the third one too) to solve the tile puzzle.

I actually went rhtough some other puzzles by now and then went back for that one but still couldn't solve it. then i founf a walkthruogh for that part yet even if i did the same it still doesn't open. I saw somewhere that there is a an order for unlocking things in the game and if you unlock them in the wrong order you can get stuck. I wonder if that's the case and maybe i should start the game over.

The tile code is randomized as far as I know. Myabe that's the issue (it could very well be that the game could put you in an unwinnable state of course because I've seen it mentioned too, but it didn't happen to me, with this particular puzzle)
