Seeds and farming
Hello-
I'm trying farming for the first time. I'm a little confused about how seeding works. I see that I have the seed, and I get an icon which turns white when I'm over plowed ground.

I left-click to spread some seed. Sometimes I get a little plant, but usually I do not.

Should I keep dropping seed until I get a little plant, or will the crop grow there anyway, as long as I clicked once?

I've played around with it some more, and it looks like you don't get a crop unless you see a small plant right away? It seems if I click more than once on a spot, I never get a plant. I only get a plant if I move slightly away from there and click again. Even then, I usually don't get a plant. Sometimes it can be quite tedious!

Planting by hand is a bit tedious. Work your way up to mechanical farming and it gets much easier.

While planting by hand, look down at your feet. Plant a seed when the hand icon is white. Make sure you see a plant, then move a little bit apart from the first plant. I usually go left-right until I get to the next plantable location (red icon turn white again) and keep going.

Yes, look down on your feet and plant the seed. It works only on small distance.
Also sometimes you dont meet requirement (plants too close to each other, ground not flat...) so respect those sayings and you should not have problems with seeding anymore.
