'Cogs' are the name of the teeth on a gear (also known as a cogwheel).

The mod you linked to adds cogs(the teeth) so you can make your own gears.

This Mod does not work anymore thus the reason for this post and no the gears mod does not include cogs.. The name of the mod is "Cogs" not Cogwheels if'en that was the case my post would say COGWHEELS COGWHEELS MAKE THE COGWHEELS WORK AGAIN

Yes, the mod is called cogs, becase it adds cogs for you to add to your own wheels to make cogwheels, AKA Gears.

You can make your own gears using the vannila timbers.
Just use the square tiumber to make the wheels, then use the round timbers to make the cogs.
