-There's absolutely no point of picking the perk(s) for big piles - as they don't respawn, when the few existing ones are gone/used up - only for the "story"-mission. I had already used mine before the corresponding mission came -.- and now I'm stuck in that one, because there aren't any piles left. I even spent the money for going to the other, old junkyard destination - not worth the money at all - but there weren't any piles, as I slightly hoped.
-The travel prices are too high for the few item we can take from there by now. I'd like to take more, but most things aren't worth taking, as the few truck-"slots" are too precious to fill them with items <50 $.
-The cart tend to roll around in the garage/workshop when you take it in there. As it is very tight anyway. And a back door to the other garage die would be nice, where the fake door is to the warehouse-trigger.
-At the moment it becomes a bit boring soon. Maybe it'll get a bit better, after I impoved/maxed out the truck for auto-delivering new stuff to me...
-Oh yes... and the German localisation is a bit messed up, I had mission texts in Russian and and other languages before I switched to English because of that.
Besides of all that (including points the thread cretor mentioned) It's still fun to play and the worst - semi-game breaking things like the annyoing save rollback - were fixed very fast - even with a manual save option in the menu =) \o/.
To have something like a road map or an overview of the features ahead would be really awesome. *.*
EDIT:
Seems, the assemblemy of renewable items is much less wonky now. Parts snap way better now, mostly 1st try. And the stupid tree next to the waste burner is gone =).
Putting items into the warehouse is also much easier now and it appears to me the don't need to struggle that much any more by getting parts back out of the cart (still a little bit, but it does't feel like giving birth to an elephant anymore).
Maybe some other improvements, I didn't see yet.
The biggest use for visiting other locations, particularly earlier on, is to go to the residential area after you've bought the incinerator. Lots of bags in that area. Put 10 in the truck. Open the rest. With just the incinerator and no upgrades, you'll get at least $500 ($50 per bag) per trip. With the incinerator upgrades and the character upgrades for opening bags you'll average ~$2500 per trip ($1500 from bags, ~$1000 from wads of cash). A bit more if you search behind the houses too, since there can be more cash and more bags there.
Later on, going to the junkyard becomes profitable. With the upgrades to the melter and the crusher, a car body is worth $1500. You can fit 2 car bodies in the truck fairly easily, 3 at a push. Maybe 4 if you're lucky. The remaining slots can be filled with bags and the remaining bags after that can be opened. So the $500 trip yields a minimum of $4200 (2 cars, 8 bags, no cash from opening the other bags) and usually more.
But I would like to be able to collect more rubbish, especially from the residential area. Imagine if the domestic waste collection came round your neighbourhood, collected only 10 bags, opened all the other bags and left the contents lying around on the path, the road, etc. That wouldn't go down well with residents.
