How do i use the cleaning brush?

I know this might sound a bit odd but I've put the small cabinet in the space indicated (I think?) but when I pick up the brush to clean it I can't do anything with it no matter what I press. Can someone tell me how to use this brush please?

Are you placing the item next to the renovation table where the tools are? That slot is used for renovation. The slot near the garage entrance is for assembling objects

1. Make sure it's in the right spot;
2. Make sure you've placed it with 'E' and not just dropped it there, when done right you should also get a bar with Clean and object value;
3. Pick up the brush;
4. Hold Left Mouse Button and drag it over the small cabinet, the bar saying "Clean" should now fill up.

Thanks for that - the game can be quite confusing at the start. Do you know if the black bags and other items respawn at any time or do we just get one use out of them? It might make earning any money difficult especially as it appears it costs 200 every time you go to town (I think that's correct - I've only tried it once?).

You'll get a garbage truck that delivers a variety of trash items at 30 minute intervals (at the start, this can get upgraded), but nothing really respawns on the yard.

Once you'll get the incinerator gathering trashbags from the residential zone becomes more profitable and from there money's no longer much of an issue.
