However, the most effective comp team mercs are the following:
Sawbonez as pocket medic
Sawbonez(phoenix/sparks) as field medic, with Aura always on defense
Fragger main DPS
Bushwhacker/Arty/Stoker mechanic/fire support
Nader/Arty/Stoker/Skyhammer secondary DPS
I dont include thunder because many comp communities ban him from play. Also, playing recon mercs is generally looked down upon, unless you have the skill to do it effectively. But even so, many people can't give up fire support or medics for a sniper.
This is not my opinionated tier list-its what Ive seen played the most in comp, and played the most effectively.
> Eternal supply of ammo of himself
> Fine ass rifles, good loadouts
> Free
and hes one of the weakest? OP are you ok?
Also Nader is pretty pointless in comp because everything Nader can do Fragger can do it much better except some map like underground.
Fragger is definately S tier because "every" comp have one Fragger. Fragger is so powerful that it was limited only one Fragger per team.
To be fair, some people switch out Fragger for Thunder/Nader since all you really need is a heavy suppressive/explosive merc. That said, comp/pug rules allow only one merc of each kind in a team. No stacks, unless that particular game has an exception.
(which also means the infamous Rhino Squad is banned, thank god)
