Is there a fix for keys not working?

I have a problem ONLY with Dirty Bomb where it decides certain keys don't work anymore or actions stick. Example: Throw an ammo pack with the 'q' or 'e' keypress, and it sticks to throw 4 and the only way out is the cycle with the mouse wheel.

Another example: Chat keys all stopped working -- team, or global. And at the same time, the 'Q' heal for phoenix would hold extra long until I did something to interrupt it -- like scroll the mouse wheel.

This is the *only* game this happens in, and I can even exit to notepad, push the "broken" keys all I want and they work fine.. tab back into DB and they fail again. This makes the game essentailly unplayable at times.

Have you tried resetting your keybindings ingame? That might help.

This is a known bug, it's not the specific keys not working.

Is it just occasionally for a short time, only for one button press or every time you press the q button?

The equipment system is kind of messed up right now and it would have to be completely reworked.

Very intermittent. A key might stick or just be unavailable; I was about to say the new patch fixed it, but today I had a situation where '3' would not bring up the knife, regardless of what i did / tried.. (i.e. switch weapons manually, or reload, or tab out and back). after a death it reset somehow and worked fine..

Yeah, known bug with the equipment system, devs have only deployed some workarounds, until they have time for a full rework of that system and you can see how well that works.

Anyways, I also had this bug a few times, but it usually goeas away after 30 seconds or less.

The best workaround I've found is to immediately switch to knife and back once I see the 2nd pack auto-throw. Saves me from throwing all my medpacks away or from going full auto with my weapon when it happens to that.

There is also a but where you use the defibrillator, your character switched to it instead of going back to the gun
