And if you need evidence that people under 17 play this game, there's literally evidence from earlier in this thread. I think you're missing the point that just because a game CAN offer content, doesn't mean it should. What's the point of offspring if the point of a roguelike is to die and make a new character from scratch? Rogue Legacy literally has that its own niche.
In addition, you say that in our community, we're biased in thinking people over 17 play this genre because this forum is based on people who most likely own this game. But aren't you biased the same way for saying that you personally haven't seen anyone from your country play this game, either?
Also, you say that compared to Stardew Valley, in which they "ask for a baby", that's all there is to it. But you specifically state in the opening post of the thread that you'd want "sex scenes" where it's possible for someone to "bite off the male part" and "become a eunuch", and that it would alter your relations with factions significantly. Sorry, but that sounds pretty impactful to the game and graphic as sexual content to me.
No one is labeling you a freak or wanting to lynch for a suggestion, but I think most people would agree that it would just be out of place in a game like Caves of Qud. Like I said, you could probably suggest it as a mod, maybe.
The one aspect I agree with is that factions should give out more quests that increase your standing with them while decreasing others'.
I know this is a hugely extraneous point, but this has been bothering me this whole thread...
I don't think you really understand what a eunuch is... It's a) not someone without a *hem* member, it's someone who's been castrated, ala missing testicles, b) it's not someone who's just had them cut off randomly, the process is about not having the hormones produced by the testicles during puberty. You don't suddenly become one if your member is... bitten off. and c) the Eunuchs are, as they're represented here, a class of people within the Arcology of Ibul. They represent a group who are trained to have these skills. Shank is not an innate ability you learn when you lose a penis.
PS I've been playing Qud since I was 15... And whilst, as you say, youth doesn't necessarily indicate innocence, the desire not to expose yourself to sexual themes is a choice that plenty of people make, honestly, probably mostly people over 18.
.....
I'm not comparing Caves of Qud to Stardew Valley. I'm just talking about a feature Stardew Valley has that I find nice to see in other genres. I could have said Skyrim, or even better - go search for a game called Elona.
" I think you're missing the point that just because a game CAN offer content, doesn't mean it should."
-Feedback and feature requests. Feature requests. Requests.
"you say that in our community, we're biased in thinking people over 17 play this genre because this forum is based on people who most likely own this game."
- I did not say that
"But aren't you biased the same way for saying that you personally haven't seen anyone from your country play this game, either?"
- Well, I'm in a community of CoQ players - so I'm talking to you, a CoQ player (roguelike) - and I probably will find another one at the same country as myself. I searched for this community. I want to be here. Nothing prevents this.
Aaaaand... if I'm not seeing anybody at my community of friends/conversants playing this kind of genre, I'm outside the community. This is the real world. Sometimes I can choose, sometimes I can't. I can choose to be in a convention where I will obviously find folks with the same interest as me. It's like this community irl, for example. At college or high school (for example), I'm inside an environment with different kinds of people. Different lifes. Different choices.

-I didn't say I wanted. I said it was an example. If you don't like, ok that's fine. You can change the example to something more likable.
Also, I didn't say anything about altering relations with factions significantly.

- Nice one! I agee with you. But I'm not a game programmer :/

- You are partially correct. However, there are other fuctions for an eunuch. And you can call someone nowadays an Eunuch just for having a word to describe the situation. It can be rude sometimes.

- Yes, I think you are correct.

- I see...
I play games to have fun. Your option would very easily be considered shoehorning in a feature for no reason other than shock value or to annoy people.
Roguelikes need sex in them as much as I need a headache cure from a .357 Magnum. :) I don't know about you, but having my brains removed from my head is a rather extreme cure for a headache. :)
I respect you for wanting something unique, but you're really looking at this from a completely flawed manner.
What I proposed was just an exemple I got from watching a movie called V/H/S 3, I belive. It was just that, nothing more. All I want to suggest is some kind of relationship system. I tried my best to select the "right" words for sex, gender, etc. etc. to not annoy some people, but I think I'm irritating either.
But, infact, you can't generate life without Sex. "Sex" in biology means combine and mixing genetic material. It's nothing more. The game has a mutation feature; what is wrong in asking that?
And, if I want some kind of relationship system between the various species of strange beings CoQ has to offer...... I want to generate life with them. Or having children, you decide.
It won't be the main feature of CoQ, just a minor one. It won''t transform in an Eroge.
And relationship in roguelikes is not unique. Indirectly, you have "relationship" in Dwarf Fortress. More explicit in Elona (it's called "pets", I don't like the name).
Indeed, I like those kind of crude features in a game, but it was
just
an
example
You guys neglacted everything I tried to ask and focused your thoughts on an example.
I think you didn't even notice the "mother nature" I wrote, instead of "mother language".

Different sprite per gender could be a lot of work considering classes sprites.
