Sex in game ?
I haven't play this game so much to tell if there are those features or not, but I think you guys should add sex ..... in every way possible.
Starting as gender, you can make male, female and some other mutaded ones (something like Ranma 1/2). And having bachelors and bachelorettes interresed in you by some kind of quest or something like the way you get loved/hated by some faction - so you can marry him/her/it.
And probably having children with them. If you die you can start playing as one of your children.

And the sex scenes should have some sort of buff/debuff system, for example a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ that bites and rip out the♥♥♥♥♥♥♥of the male or "it" one and he gets some stats of the eunuch class, for example (and you start bleeding).

obsviouly all genders created should have different sprites (or the same in some cases)

And my apologies again, English isn't my mother nature

btw the game is awesome!

Thank you

[Edit]

*Chose your gender

-Male (+1Strength -1Intelligence)
-Female ( -1Strength +1Intelligence)
-Genderless (No stats alteration - can't reproduce)
-Hermaphrodite (+1Strength +1Intelligence, -3Ego)
-Invention
-Invention
-Invention
-Invention

"Sex Scene" would be just texts explaining what happened without further information, like if the partner already germinated another being or you must wait X hours
Tha aspect I told you about the rip out thing can be in just normal information on some npc that can be married. Others would have different information.

And about the audience, do you know any kid 17- which plays roguelike games?

What kind of unnecessary elements you guys where talking about

What you described is very complicated, but it's still hard to believe that in such wretched world there is no sex or prostitution or sex slavery. That's something to spice up the game.

Realism doesn't necessarily make for the best/funnest/most interesting/most accessible game. This sounds like something that wouldn't necessarily improve anything, add anything wholly interesting, or, really, like something that would actually make the game funner.

And this would come at the expense of time spent on other, more interesting parts of the game, and probably just in general be unpleasant for some people to expose themselves to.

I can't really fathom how you think this is a good idea? It's just a vast shift in tone that seems totally unnecessary, and like something that would attract, generally, a fairly different audience. I can't possibly envisage this as being something that slots in smoothly into the world already presented without feeling brutish and unpleasant.

Try Elona if you want a roguelike game with elements like that.
There's a reason even the ridiculously simulationist dwarf fortress doesn't have piss, ♥♥♥♥, and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

i don't think caves of qud would benefit from being designed around shallow notions of gender and sex for the purposes of fulfilling another stat variation. things like reputation, vitality, strength, intelligence being affected by bizarre and fantastical things is why i love CoQ. I definitely think depth and variety is a good thing, but equating "females" with smarts and "males" with strength is just kinda... boring and restrictive? Sure a +1 or -1 is kinda a significant and kinda insignificant modifier depending on how you look at it, but I feel like these kind of mildly discriminatory characteristics (when you consider how stats affect how you imagine of your character's narrative) would detract from the gameplay and world narrative of the game overall rather than adding to it or improving it. Implementing concepts such as feminine, masculine, fluid or non-binary, and impregnate character traits could lead to some interesting stuff for sure. But like much of CoQ, familiar and realistic ideas that help us navigate our real world are most effectively echoed in the game in strange ways to harmlessly undermine player expectations, especially for humor.

There are plenty of people under 17 who play games like these, and it's not weird or uncommon for someone over or underage to play all sorts of genres.

Adding sex in this game honestly feels like it would alienate people from the game itself. If they saw it tagged as "sexual content", it would likely attract the wrong people while pushing away someone who just wants a more vanilla roguelike experience. There's "realism", and then there's extraneous requests. This falls into the latter. There's plenty of other ways to make the game feel more immersive and realistic, but this isn't one of them.

ahahaha it's funny because you all think that the world is able to speak English. It's obvious that you know some guys who plays this kind of genre due to the fact that you are in this community. You probably know someone that plays Board RPG because you are in this universe. But it's not "plenty". It is in fact uncommon if you see the behaveor of majority of young lads under 17. Someday I will tell to my grandchildren the tale of the underaged virgin girl.
I don't wan't to star a fight here nor appear that I'm a freak or someone who must be lynched.
This game will never be taggered haveing "sexual content". Stardew Valley has a similar mechanic, sometimes at night you have a message from your spouse askyng for a baby. That's it.
It's an ASCII game, do you really think it will have explicit content for children? Do you think it will be something like this: @8===D
? What would be explicit? Texts just telling "you lose your 'member' due to the copulation (+Shank, +Hurdle, - Ego, etc. etc. etc.)"?

In my country, few people are able to speak English in a proper way at my age. Even I have difficulties, as you can see.
And I'm not refering to roguelites like Binding of Isaac or Rogue Legacy. I'm talking about DCSS, ADOM, NetHack, ToME4. Never saw anyone at my age playing these.
What I wanted to say is: it isn't a feature that will only be avaliable to you after 30h+ in a game, when you see your first marriable candidate in a town way far from Joppa, after dying a thousand times, that's going to make you stop playing the game because it's "too extraneous" - and you will probably die the first time trying to complete the quest to gain his/her/its heart.

Neither will be a Dating Sim. Caves of Qud is tagged as having "Great Soundtrack" while it's annoying. :Asaga:

:/
