On Nobara Linux, Black Screen on Startup
specs:
Nobara Linux 39
AMD Ryzen 3 3200
AMD ATI Radeon Vega Series

I find nothing abnormal in Player.log at first. However, after about a few minutes of leaving the black screen'd Caves of Qud running, Caves of Qud will crash, and looking at the logs after this crash I find these errors I don't understand:
"

things I've tried:
1. updating drivers, nothing to update. Online says Nobara comes with latest AMD drivers, and I'm certain my system is fully updated.
2. forcing opengl by running "./♥♥♥.x86_64 -force-opengl" in a terminal. Didn't make a difference.

PS: the acronym of Caves Of Qud is being censored by steam for me and show as 3 heart emojis, although it might still show as normal for you

It's not a strictly supported Linux distro by the version of Unity we use, so it's likely some sort of incompatibility.

what can I do? Could I somehow get steam to download the windows version and run it with wine? Or something else?

You can force the use of proton in the game properties in the steam client

I solved the issue:
after proton didn't work, I uninstalled steam, repartitioned the drive I had installed steam games on from nfts to ext4, editted the mount configurations, and reinstalled my games (I realized that the same back screen issue was happening to all my games, even ones I was sure had worked before). After these steps everything worked fine.

Hello. Quite unrelated, but can I ask for your help, Daria? I just installed Nobara and did the system update as prompted by the system, and after the full update was done, I rebooted the system only to get a full black screen for no reason. I can't boot into the operating system - I see that it installed a new Kernel, now I have 2 normal boot options along with the rescue mode. I have an RTX 4080
