Return to the Hydropon quest bugged. Again

Last time my n-pointed asterisk straight up didn't work so I started all over, completed the quest quitting and saving the game a couple of times because this version of the game seems to crash with precog sometimes. Got Joppa as the chosen village, started waiting for a slynth to arrive. Waited for a whiiile (much more than 7 days), nobody arrived, Thah doesn't give out the asterisk. Proselytized a slynth and brought him to Joppa just to check if that'll work. It didn't

Any solution to this? I'm in the same boat. Waiting months, travelling around the map, completing quests... I come back, and still no one has left. Same as OP, I used precog.

Might be late but they rolled out an update after my post and I was able to complete the quest afterwards. If it’s a recurring issue still, should probably make another post for this issue. In my case - I kinda gave up on 2-3 ~10ish hr saves because of this issue, hope you won’t have to
