ganglionic teleprojector body swap

I tried the perament body swap on me with a saw-hander with the teleprojector. I succesfully killed myself with one hit but I get a message that the domination ended and I die in my original body. Is this suppose to be this way?

The permanent body swap needs both parties to have Dominate; you dominate the other creature, which in turn dominates your original body. When your original body dies, you're shunted into the secondary creature.

What you did was just a very elaborate suicide.

This is not the case, at least not with the Domination mutation. You only need to ensure you slay yourself in a single blow after dominating to make sure you die before the Domination can be broken.

It might be different in the case of Ganglionic Teleprojector. It seems like that item probably ceases to function once it's host dies, as opposed to Domination who's effect is more permanent. Either that, or you took some bleed damage just before the killing blow from the sawhander that broke your Domination, which is probably the more likely.

If it really is the former though, you'll need to construe some way to have the robot you're attempting to swap bodies with equip the Ganglionic Teleprojector on the same turn that you die, which would be no small feat.
