Can Unstable Genome be taken after character creation?

As I'm leveling up, I'm accruing Mutation Points...but I don't see a way to add new stacks of Unstable Genome.

The 4 UG I started with is down to 1. I have 9 mutation points, but I only see that I can "Buy a new random mutation for 4 mp".

Just confirming: the only way to add new mutations after character creation is the 4 point option to buy a new random one (other than the UG stacks randomly occurring eventually).

For normal character progression: The typical way to add new mutations after character creation is the 4 point random buy.* (with some special ways later on)

Gotcha, thanks. I'm familiar from True Kin playthrough of some of the others you're probably referring to (but I wont spoil the surprise)

And, no, pretty sure that unstable mutation doesn't proc for normal 4 point spending, but you can still get it when dancing with gamma moths.

That all makes sense, because now that I think about it Unstable Genome isn't necessarily a mutation, but a "Morphotype". And it wouldn't really make sense to allow the other Morphotypes to be selected after the fact, so why would UG either?
