Still Crystal Chime missing

I don't think it spawned in my game. I went 40 levels down the trunk to be told I didn't have the chime, after which I searched all of the 3rd strata of Chavvah and couldn't find it.

Anyone else have this issue?

Should be at the top in the south east part of the screen

Looked there many times. In the artist's area. Nothing.

I feel like it may have disappeared when I went down the 40 levels without it.

Sorry, perhaps you know it already and are just asking whether other players are experiencing the problem but you can use the "Wish" command to put the item in your bag, fi you do not find it.

"item:TauChime:1" does that work?

pretty common issue; had the same thing happen to me. it was there when I first explored the tree, but I didn't make the connection after getting the quest, and when I returned for it, it was gone. had to wish it in as well.

Yeah, it's a bug.

You don't realize that the NPC doesn't actually give the item to you (it says something like "take Tau's still chime" and it's easy to assume that it's giving the chime to you as part of the dialogue), and go all the way down to level 40.

There, you realize you don't have the chime, and go back to the tree... and the still chime is not there anymore.

It's happened often enough that I imagine they already know, but if you want to make sure, you can search for "chime" or "Tau" in the bug report section to confirm that someone has reported it already.
