Trolls AI broken and/or changed
I just defeated the 3 trolls for the first time since 1.0 and they didn't seem to put up much challenge compared to the old days.

* Jotun just stood in the middle of the left pool of convalessence. While I sprayed him with bullets from the sparbine until he eventually died
* Fjorn-Kosef started normally when I got in range, budding a couple of troll foals, etc. Then moved into the pool and stood perfectly still until I shot him enough times that he died.
* Haggabah acted normally for quite a while, but eventually I got him in a range where he was visible with my night vision and eventually froze like a deer in headlights once I started shooting.

It's been quite a while since I've got this far in Qud. But I probably only beat them 2 or 3 times out of about 8 tries in previous years. Each time it was a super hard battle, constantly having to reposition myself to stay out of range.

This was kind of trivial.

The difficulty of these fights varies a lot by chance

I've definitely seen the "just stand there and do nothing while getting shot at" in my palythrough. For many enemies it looked like they just don't care about you if you do not get into ~15 range or so. When I got closer, they started moving.

That said with the troll fights they just went around the pool and seemed to look for a shorter path to me when I went in. I could not kite them like that though.

Honestly I am starting to think the whole AI is buggy since the last update.

It's most obvious in the desert.
Enemies just don't react, when they are attacked by long tange weapons. They don't do anything at all. They just stand there or wander around.
They used to get to you and attack you.

Can you check, if it's the same for you?
Because it's boring, when enemies don't defend themselfs.

Really? I thought that was a feature as a means for "sniper" characters to cheese kills. Sniped some legendary templar twice my level from 30+ tiles away the other day. If i got within those 30ish tiles, they would chase after me. Aggro range seems to vary, though. I could snipe Dawngliders from much closer, before they'd chase after me. For a while, i though "Oh boy here i go stealth archering again!".

Would be a very strange feature.
To me it makes the game a bit boring for certain character builds. Because now it's super easy for ranged fighters to kill basically everything, as long as it's far enough away.

This is only really viable in the Salt Dunes and few other areas, because of walls or foliage.

Plus you can also just snipe the overwhelming majority of all encounters while inside a force bubble while being 100% safe even from close-range and force bracelets are easy to get Keh at Bey Lah always sells one.

Yes. And there are thousand other OP combos.
But I feel it's a bit too easy and also strange, when enemies don't react at all while being shot.

Anyone can be a "sniper" character now with enough ammunition. As soon as you meet Mafeo, you can currently kill a lot of enemies in the game on long range during the day time if you just hammer F. You do not need a sniper rifle or high agility for that. That just makes it take less time/ammo. It is not about visibility either.

Before the AI broke that way, you could already play a "real" sniper characters with high agility and accurate weapons (or light manipulation) due to being able to kill enemies on long range before they reach you. Now you have all the time in the world for that and can just spray and pray.

That is not something since the last update, but is happening for quite some time.

I didn't play a lot until recently. So I didn't notice.

However I really hope, this is just a bug, which gets fixed soon.
