are the most recent threads about this that I had in mind. General advice is to not panic and make yourself some safe area instantly after the drop and when that is clear, wait a bit and reg before you proceed and check if new enemies are brought by belt. Keep your force bubble cd ready for when you really need it (you can just recoil out of that place before the duration runs out if your recoiler is not rusted) and do not try to melee everything there with that dagger.
Golgotha also has 4 different paths and you do not know before jumping on which path you land. If you do not like your path, you can force bubble + recoil out of it and take another path. Avoid stepping into deep gross liquids.
Oh? I'm already good on gear? Okay phew, good to know.
Eh... I think I'm good on guns, but I'm not sure.
I have a semi-auto pistol and I got some kind of Arc Wielder type thingy I haven't tried out yet, but is probably good?
Well, I guess I don't want extra spoilers then. I already think I know that there's Some kind of disease down there because of what the NPC under Grit Gate said. Looks like I'm trying a run on the place after work tonight.
Edit: Oh? I'm supposed to jump down one of the holes? I was afraid that would just dump me down too long of a drop and kill me. My plan was to use Burrowing Claws or a grenade or something to crack open the front door.
I would suggest trying out the arc winder before you use it in a high pressure situation, but if you can get a second semi-automatic pistols that might be better for now (I hope you also have decent agility and some pistol skills). Your force bubble is one of the best things for the dungeon to be honest. Just keep the duration in mind and that you can recoil as long as it's up.
The main there there is really to stop a bit and make a plan shortly after the drop. Check out what the surroundings do and work with them. Looking at some enemies can also give you some hints what you might expect from them or the area. It is the first dungeon that introduces more special stuff than mere hitting and shooting (or well.. the rust wells might be the first).
I wish I could get a second. XD I'm relying on random drops, because the very few gunslingers/tinkers I have access to have very poor inventories.
I've invested in pistol skills yeah.
Two of them. But I've never seen them stock anything worth buying. :(
Just muskets, revolvers, and one Isshari rifle, when I don't use rifles.
But hey, at least I have two Scoped Semi-auto pistols now.
No, it's Fickle Gill. On my chest. Which normally wouldn't be so bad, but I had that Crysteel armor there. 7 Defense there, down to 3, that's -4 armor. :(
I need to go find that book to find out what the cure is now. XD
I have an AV of 10 right now, 14 with that Crysteel mail.
Also, to my relief, the town that sells the book with all the cures is not as far away as I expected. :D
The town is pretty easy to reach yeah. It is just some jungle danger like the path to Golgotha. Getting the ingredients could take more walking though, depending on what they are.
I heard enough horror stories that I wanted to be prepared. XD
Got lucky with the cure ingredients, got cured, went into Golgotha.
I now know why everyone speaks the name Chute Crab with either fear, or copious profanity. There are just. So. MANY. :o
Huh. So some research tells me that there's only one path where you encounter those things? That's good to know, I think I'm going to do that. XD
The advice I've seen is "don't treat it like a dungeon. Treat it like a heist mission". I wish they'd given that advice in-game lol.
Edit: Nevermind! I got lucky! I used my burrowing claws to get into a wall, and make a little nest... And then managed to punch through to where the next slide was.
Made short work of the boss too! :D
And now, I'm back home safe in JoppaaAAAAAAAAAAUGH! I have multiple diseases even with lots of natural remedies to boost immunity. Time to make extra sure I'm curing those before something real bad happens. XD
Edit 2: Eyyy! I overdid the medicine and I'm no longer sick, PHEW. ...Now I want my "I survived Golgotha and I all I got was this t-shirt" t-shirt.
