Shield - equip it on arm or hands?

What's the different? Is there one? Does it even matter?

Shields can only be equipped in your hand. Bucklers can be equipped on your arms (so your hands are free for another weapon, a two handed weapon, a light source, etc), but are weaker.

Ah okay. I always call bucklers shields so that may have been a bit confusing. Didn't found a real shield yet so I didn't see the difference to a buckler. Thanks for the answer!

Just do a picture search on a buckler, you will see that they are MUCH smaller than an actual shield - they're really more like an enlarged armguard or bracer.

LOL Oh wow. That was a mind blowing advice. I've seen a couple of buckler looking "shields" (at least they were a lot bigger than what I've seen on the pictures) in movies and such, but wow.. the pictures - its like a plate. xD

yup. For some reason, most movies/books that have 'Bucklers' actually mean 'Round Shields'. Those big pieces of wood with a small metal dome in the middle. The ACTUAL buckler is more like just the dome in the middle, without the huge wooden planks that make up the shield.

I hate how your at a real disadvantage in the early game with dual weilding and sheilds because you need your off hand for a torch in the caves sometimes your really unlucky and dont find a glowsphere or similar early on.
