Where do I find fresh water?

I'm running a bit low.

I remember reading about a well with a fresh water source in the jungle village.

You will have to break a wall to reach it though.

The fresh water is the game's currency.
Therefore the easiest way to get it is too loot enemies and sell the loot to the merchants.

Merchants run out quickly, though.
And it takes ages for them to restock ):

Fresh water will be given to you for any trades made with a merchant that carries water when the value of what you offer exceeds that of what you want. You can see how much currency (water) they carry at the bottom left of the trade screen. Joppa's merchant in the lower right hut always has a pretty decent amount. It can also be found randomly in the wastes, either in waterskins or in small rare pools of clean water.

Just in case you don't know, the trade window can be opened when speaking with most NPC's by pressing tab (by default).

I just traded away all the crap I found, so the trader guy had to give me about 100 drams of fresh water. :3

I am only playing through my first character, but water doesn't look like a huge problem for now.
I have a chest with a dozen full waterskins and there isn't really anything to spend it on.

North of argyve´s hut there is a crack in the salty water pond, it leads a cave under red rock, if you walk around without going further down you often find fresh water (i have found large amounts multiple times)
