Is there a sell bag?
Seems like this should be an rpg standard. You forever look over equipment/items, there should be a section where you put all the useless ones so you can sell/trade em.

Qud is in many ways much less "gamey" than many games and especially inventory management seems to be made so you still care about it actively. If you got a bit more time in the game, you will probably start only looting certain items anyway because weight to money ratio is really bad on many items and you start only selling daggers, artefacts and trade goods until the higher tiers.

It is really mostly early on that you shovel all kinds of trash into your bags and then fiddle through it at a trader. You'll soon care much less about some 10lbs bark armour that has a value of 3.

You can pick up chests and open them while they are in your inventory, you can use this to separate things you want to keep/ want to sell. This usually ends up with an item so high in value that most merchants can't afford it or you won't have enough water skins/ canteens to hold all of it so you might be better off just using it to keep the things you want.

To be honest, trading items for pure water is, in my opinion, doing it wrong.

Water weighs too much and you will be good with just 70-150 drams on you anyway. I reccomend trading for items that you want and then measure the difference in water. If you just want to trade to make yourself lighter you have to trade for mineral nuggets, gemstones, or other things that have fixed value between merchants (these items will have yellow prices) so that you dont lose money with each middleman. For this I reccomend you try to find a Jeweler or a Jemcutter.

Oh man... I would love to be able to sort all my vendor junk into one section rather than have to sort through my entire inventory whenever I'm at a shop or in front of my vendor junk chest.

Hopefully that'll be a thing in 1.0.

What we need is chests being allowed to have 'fitted with suspensors' mod on them.

That would solve all my hoarder troubles lol

You can overload followers as much as you want. Those can of course be killed.

Those can of course be killed.

And therein lies the problem.

But i just realized something else.
A can of Spray-a-brain and some mutation points spent and we could have a proper Rincewind's Baggage following our characters around, now that would be dope af

The tools are already there, we just need a way to utilize them!

Giving this a steam award for referencing Discworld. XD

Not only can they be killed, they can also get you killed, or otherwise make themselves a nuisance. I really hate followers.

At some point you just have to accept the fact that you'll have to leave 90% of the wealth you find on the ground.

I have a vendor junk chest that I keep next to the good vendors, and I buy taco supremas whenever they are available (which unfortunately is now very, very rare).

Just get a couple of reprogrammable recoilers and a few bloodcells and you're set for town portaling back and forth.

Unfortunately, animating something gives it stats like strength with then dictates a maximum carry capacity. I did have fun trying this out and found out you can't animate chests but you can animate tables :)

The only workshop mod I use is to turn off item weight because I hate the inventory management and this lets me ignore it completely.

Your companion reaching over maximum carry capacity will still follow you over screens. They can't move, but they will usually not be left behind.
