A use for congealed love?

So normally I would not care about something I normally don't have a use for but I noticed that I had like 5 of these things after I went on a rampage wiping out a few snapjaw forts and wondering what I can use it for. I mean I know its like a love injector that you can eat but I have no idea on what use that has unless of course I want the love thyself achivment but other then that what use are they?

i think it may increase your ego or allow you to proselytize others when used in cooking.

They do not exactly work like a love injector for the achievement.

If you cook with them you can get Beguiling, beguile triggers or +4 Ego

For the +4 Ego: Personally I really like making a meal with bananas with them and hope for the basic effects to get psychometry with +4 ego and have a really high psychometry level, but there are other nice combos. Basically if you can use some more Ego (for mental mutations, trading or other reasons) this one can be useful.

Beguiling: Can be useful to get some target to follow you and add some decent HP boost, but it does not stack with the mutation itself and the follower goes away when the metabolism effect stops, which is probably the closest to how a love injector works, but worse when you do map travel (which usually makes you lose food effects).

For the beguile triggered effect: Lke with many triggered effects beguiling a target with that effect is preeeetty strong since the base level of it is 7-8 (+boni) and there is no limit (that I know of) for beguiled targets. You can kind of make it like an instant kill/recruit ability if you have a good triggering effect for it and just recruit an entire screen to follow you and kill everything at your bidding. However they also all lose interest in you when you lose the metabolism effect and of course it also only works on certain targets (not on robots, oozes or most plant/fungus creatures).

For the trigger condition: Have not really found much use for it. It does not seem to work with burgeoning.


Edit: just checked and the trigger condition seems to be bugged and does not work in the current patch.

Love thyself is pretty easy. Just stick yourself with a love injector in an empty field, then look at yourself.

Love injectors are actually extremely useful, as you can jab a hostile faction leader with them, pacifying them, and then you can do the water ritual, reducing (or removing) hostilities with the entire faction.

But Congealed Love is just ego boosting effects basically.
