mods or no mods?
Just picked up the game yesterday and been playing for a little and just curious about whether you guys think I should play through the game vanilla and then add mods or just jump straight into the mods.

What is it that you are missing in vanilla that mods can add? If you want something different, you have the choice to look a bit further into it and check if there is a balance reason or other thing in design to have it that way or just change it instantly with some mods.

There are quite a lot for Qud and despite the game getting updated regularly a lot of them also work well. Vanilla Qud is really good though and already offers a lot of different things to do and enough build options to fill in 1k hours. Of course if you have some personal preference you can change it quickly.
I can tell anyone which mods they *should* play but I think a smattering of mods can improve a succulent game of Qud to taste.

I tend to use QoL almods like the "Good Girl" fork which gives one a little more control over followers for eg.

have a scroll through em, and try some out!
