Weight and storage
It's very easy to get overburdened, and there's a lot of loot in dungeons..
Is there a way to store items? Is there a way to increase the capacity of what you can carry or is that only determined by your Str value?

you can leave stuff literally anywhere, the game is persistent, as long as there isn't a bettlebum or arconaut in that zone your things will never be taken.

You can place a few chests in a town somewhere and put your stuff in there. I typically have three chests next to a high-level vendor.

There are a few ways to carry more things, but they have severe downsides.

For example, there's a Hoversled that weighs 25 but neutralizes 100 weight when it's powered, so it functionally increases your weight capacity by 75... as long as it doesn't run out of energy, then it just weighs you down. Also it takes your Floating Nearby slot, which is precious.

There are Small Spheres of Negative Weigh that weigh -10, so if you craft 50 of these you'd essentially have 500 more carry capacity. But Normalization makes the Spheres not work, and suddenly losing all that carry capacity will unexpectedly immobilize you, which can be lethal. And there's a point in the game where Normalization is inevitable.

Either make a character with high Strength, or get used to leaving the vast majority of loot on the ground.

The Hoversled does not use power and can not run out of power. The big issue is really it using that precious slot.

Huh... that's bizarre, I could have sworn it did at some point. I wrote it off mainly due to that.

Or maybe it can get EMP'd, which would suddenly immobilize you? Either way I remember that thing being incredibly dangerous. That alone would be enough for me to consider it unusable.

With the consumption of the Floating Nearby slot, it's no question. I can't use this.

It getting EMP'd does not do anything to it either. It does not have any power systems attached. It does so for the sphere of negative weight though.

"Floating nearby" is basically magic anyway

Huh. Then it's actually usable early in the game, if you're not already using a Firefly or something.

I might take advantage of it in the future, if the conditions are right.

There's also backpacks and Molly Netting you can wear on your back, and the Multiple Legs mutation to increase carry capacity. And the occasional Relic, but getting one that does so is up to the RNG.

A new trick I figured out to help with liquid weights specifically is to disarm certain turrets (the white ones if I recall) for an item called a storage tank. They'll be filled with blood initially. They have a capacity of 128 drams, and can be modded with fitted with suspensors (I also add on sturdy and electromagnetic shielding) so you can haul large amounts of liquid with zero weight. Solar cells are more then enough to keep them powered.
Kind of a late game solution given the level of the turrets and needing tinker II for the mod but they have been very helpful to me.
