There is a minor victory you can achieve if you choose to pass into Brightsheol instead of asking to return back to the physical world, but you need to progress the quest or maybe brute force your way to it if you're strong enough.

The main quest is not finished yet, so the game is over either when you die or when you've decided you're done with that character. If you break the main quest, either of the above end states still apply, so it's up to you whether you will find them satisfying without doing the main path.

But are those things possible if the main quest is broken (for example if key NPCs are dead)

Depends on which NPCs, I suppose. There are ways to fix broken quests with Wish, if you are not averse to using debug commands. https://cavesofqud.fandom.com/wiki/Wishes

Who's dead? One of the important Barathrumites? They tend to teleport into the study, 1 level below, when they are in danger, instead of dying.

Just finish it today it's appear I actually broke quest line by brute force to thinworld then came back before the real quest line ask me to go to thinworld that I couldn't get entomb again.
