Apothecaries HATE this *one simple trick*, I literally FELL DOWN when I tried it!
Since lying on a bedroll or other bed doesn't count for "gettng knocked prone" for purposes of triggering effects from e.g. recipes, I've found an easy way to achieve that trigger by accident: carry around a metal folding chair, sit in it, then pick it up from under you while you're sitting in it for an immediate and painless a**-to-ground experience. Wish I'd known it for an earlier build that had a recipe that gave +30-40% HP for an hour on being knocked prone.

Can also use that to cure yourself of stuff, which apothecaries hate even more. Invite sick friend over for dinner, wait until they've eaten the meal, go over to them and kick the chair away under their butt. They might be mad, but cured!

Jumping is another great trigger you can get with the same ingredients (and usually better for combat procs), though of course that needs you to be able to jump.

Yeah, though you would be able to proc the prone one much more frequently; albeit the inherent risk of going prone is correspondingly higher as well

If you want "more frequently", you are usually going best with the electrical proc and modding your melee weapons or using arc winders (which is good in general). You can easily get multiple procs per turn with those just by attacking someone or something. There is also some other stuff that is rather easy to proc but scales up less, like teleporting (displacer bracelet procs that 2 out of 3 turns) or eating mushrooms. Great ways to play a "mage" that e.g. just spams flaming ray every turn.

Congealed Rubbergum + Starapple Jam gives a chance for:
On Being Knocked Prone, a Random negative effect is removed.
which is great if you have a slow moment and don't want a sore throat, aching joints, or itchy skin to progress further.
the funniest part though is that prone is considered a negative effect.
which can be cured through this.
so just imagine you eat a meal, and some time after you are knocked to the ground. all of a sudden you are magically back on your feet, without any real explanation as to how you got up without moving.

Actually pretty fitting with the rubber part. You just bounce back up.
