- Get rich in (weightless) bits, sell laser rifles etc.
- Buy other food
- Buy floating glowspheres
Always possible:
- Get a tanky follower to carry all your stuff
Totally forgot about followers carrying stuff.
Yes, floating glowspheres, Taco Suprema ...
But everything seems to be so rare now.
I am not sure, if I just have bad luck or if it was changed by an update.
In any case, for the next runs I will probably immediatly restart the game, if I don't get at least one jeweler at the stilt.
Step 1: Get pure warm static (ideally 4 drams to reduce number of polygel needed, but you can make it work with 1, just need more polygel)
Step 2: Get metamorphic polygel
Step 3: Repeat step 2 at least 7 times
Step 4: Polygel however many drams you have, then combine the results for geometric progression (1+1=2, 2+2=4, etc.)
Step 5: Repeat step 4 until you have at least 128 drams of pure warm static (2 64 dram waterskins)
Step 6: Put 1 waterskin of 64 drams in your chest of lewt to save for later
Step 7: Pour the other waterskin of pure warm static on goats or pigs or whatever in the stilt 1 dram at a time to randomize the creature into another creature
Step 8: Repeat step 7 until you get your preferred merchant or empty the waterskin (if it turns into something hostile, IMMEDIATELY pour another 1 dram onto it since it won't react for exactly 1 turn)
Step 9: (only necessary if you run out of the first waterskin): Repeat step 4 using your backup waterskin of 64 drams
Step 10: Repeat step 7
Or just wish for whatever you want if you're a dirty cheating sack of ass (since wishing hasn't been added into the vanilla game yet as a real option instead of a debug option).
I think I already got 2 drams of Warm Static.
But after reading about it in the Wiki, I thought I'd rather not touch it. 😅
I think it would be cool, if there was at least one of every kind garantueed at the stilt.
If someone has any other idea, how to build up wealth in Qud, let me know.
The merchants in the lower right zone of the stilt are static, so there is always a guaranteed ichor merchant, apothecary, cybernetics merchant and kipper. But EVERY kind guaranteed? Let's just say the least insulting way to put it would be: "TOO EASY!"
When you consider how much rare liquids cost, I literally just gave you a recipe to be Scrooge McDuck rich. There's actually a much faster way that involves warm static, but the devs accidentally patched that out a few months ago, and then maybe restored it more recently. But I haven't had time to test whether it was really fixed or not, and even then I probably won't share it since it might then for real get patched out.
Set up recoilers next to the merchant you want to buy stuff from, acquire like 100 waterskins, go to fungal forest and fill all the waterskins with primordial soup and then recoil to the merchant
Take domination, beguile, or proselytise and use them on merchants to make them hand over their items for free and skip the games entire economy.
More then that though, selling items is small time. Real CoQfiends keep literally every item they ever get in case a baetyl asks for it.
Buy all containers you can and empty them (just dont buy expensive ones\buy empty ones)
Go to rainbow wood
locate wine weep
Collect all the wine you can carry
Sell the wine
Moni
$Rich$
Good luck - Live and drink friend
The primordial soup has the same value as wine and requires no locating. It does not replenish however
However that was not my question.
My question was how to store that money without getting too heavy.
In my other playthroughs I had at least one jeweler.
This time I don't have any.
