What's the largest container for liquid?
I'm trying to get the most out of my desalination pill. Unfortunately, I don't know of any container that can hold 200 drams of liquid. As far as I can tell from the Wiki, the Storage Tank is the largest I'll find. Are there any others? Also, where can I even find a storage tank?

Wait, can I just throw it on the ground? In my experience, that normally makes things salty, but that shouldn't be a problem if I'm using a desalination pill, right?

You can just throw the pill into a pool of liquid yes, but you might miss without extra aim stuff. Those normal 500 dram puddles will give you like 299 fresh water drams. The pellet removes 200 drams of salt from something, not "removes all salt from 200 dram of something".

Larger than 64 dram containers are rather rare and I am rather sure the storage tank is the biggest one you can carry. The pellets are nice for early game water gain and for late game they can still be used as a trade good since they do not weight anything.

I know how the pellet works, I just assumed most items that occur naturally in the world have a 1:1 ratio of salt to liquid. I got Ironshanks from an early Black Jell in the Salt Marshes, and I failed my saves, so I need to cure this thing before it gets worse. I got it on the worst build too, as I was making a mutant swordsman with Quickness.

Thanks for the help, mate.

Well, it worked, though I guess there was less salt in the slime than the 1:1 ratio I expected; I got 167 drams of gel of the 200 drams of slime I threw on the floor. Seems like it takes from real world chemistry, as I was expecting 200 drams of gel. Still, I got a crap ton of gel for possible use later. Again, thanks for the help. This character started with 10 Ego, so I had to make this pellet count.

Slime is a bit weirder in this part an just converts 100% of it self to gel, so the drams you lost there were just from throwing it in the floor and it getting salty. You shouldn't really need more than a full waterskin of gel (not more than a few dram to be honest) in the game unless you want to use the slip ring (which can also be filled with slime).

For untouched salty water in pools its more like 200 drams of salt with 300 drams of water I think.

Just carry like 12 drams of gel tops, make more whenever you need it. Slime is quite easy to come by in the grand scheme of the game.

Oh right, you don't even need gel for that ring. You can just use slime.

Yeah, but the character has 10 starting Ego. Currently, those desalination pellets cost approximately 114 drams of water, so I didn't want to have to buy another for a long time.

Well Joppa and Kyakukya can give you more than twice than that in water if you throw them into one of their pristine 500 dram pools. Not that great if you don't have a the ability to recoil to the Stiltgrounds though. Lots of strength makes water a bit better too though if you skip fullerite.

So liquids don't have any sort of proximity mixing code for pools of mixed fluids, like how gases dissipate (assuming not a single square pool)? Haven't bothered to crack open that part of the game's code yet...

Only those liquids throwing and pushing things. Once a liquids is on the ground the only proximity stuff is their temperature I think. You can have a tile of fresh water next to several tiles of salty water in Joppa. When you get easy access to desalination, the biggest problem becomes the weight and movement. Otherwise you are just buying money.

Yeah, still gonna be while before a player can tinker up that Stilt recoiler...

It's much easier for a True kin with the onboard recoiler I found. My last True kin swapped out the recoiler cybernetic for the tinker ones when in chavvah...

I just make all of my recoilers willowy, but kinda surprised no one has tinkered up a game mod that has a multi-location recoiler yet...
