Cybernetic Rejection Syndrome part of base game or from a mod?
As the title asks. Barely found anything when I googled it and I'm having some problems with it in-game.

Eh just edited my answer the second you responded. I never tried the mod but a websearch suggests you get it when you hack becoming nooks.

Hmm can't be that one cause I I'm not subscribed to it. Maybe it adds it's own version of the same thing ig. I'll have to look through the ones I'm subbed to.

I was having a "problem" with the Mechanimists mod and that status. Maybe that or CoQ Expanded? or some kind of conflict.

it's originally from sifrah, not sure what else could be causing it. maybe one of those mod authors using the ailment? since it's in the code by default, the mod just enables it.

Ah I see. I got it from the start on 1 character and whenever I uninstalled and installed a cybernetic I got it again and they stacked.

Sifrah mod is by a dev, so it has access to some underlying code that the average mod does not. I uninstalled the mod during a run expecting to be a non-issue (since it only effects specific interactions), it literally was still doing Sifrah while not installed. I had to reinstall the mod just to deactivate it so I could then uninstall it again. Super weird, can lead to weird results...

Hmm I don't remember if I might have accidentally installed Sifrah but I don't think I have. Will try anyways. :)

Yeah Sifra has code in the base game that is just not active.

I don't have Sifrah installed - never had it installed before - and I'm getting this on cybernetics-permitted mutant archetypes (enabled by other mods). The debuffs from it don't go away even if the cybernetic is removed; if "you feel feverish" pops up, it's Alt-F4 or permanent quickness/movespeed reduction.

Would really, REALLY appreciate some info on this, if it's something planned for the future that's just snuck into the more recent builds, if it's enabled by the "unreleased/prerelease content" toggle, some hint of why it's happening and the mechanics behind it, since a permanent debuff on arguably the most important stats in the game from a reversible action is a serious kick in the balls.

there's only so much info that can be given and i kind of doubt it will help you. the behavior is from the sifrah mod, which has it's code in the base game, so the mod is mostly a toggle to turn sifrah content on or off. this can lead to some strange things happening like you're describing. if it's happening in mods that allow for hybrids without having sifrah installed, it's a bug, and should be reported in the proper channels (which i can do if you'd like, though i'd need to know the mods triggering it just to confirm). normally the debuff is reversible by removing the offending implant, but this might also be buggy atm

Did 3 tests.

1. Deactivated all mods and "prerelease content" toggle, reactivated Limbsmith, ran a mutant, used Cyber wish to spawn a nook and Limbsmith to toggle True Kin permissions. First installed cybernetic triggered CRS, removing cybernetic still left me with the debuffs.

2. Deactivated Limbsmith, activated Mutant Kin mod, repeated test, took multiple cybernetics but still triggered CRS eventually, and removing all cybernetics still didn't clear the debuff.

3. On the off-chance specific mutations were causing problems, repeated 2 without Regeneration. Same result.

So it happens with "prerelease" toggle off, and with either mod I have used that enables mutants using cybernetics, with permanent debuffs for both. So either Limbsmith and Mutant Kin both somehow activate the CRS code, or somehow Sifrah's mechanics are leaking into the game. Only test I haven't done is a full clean reinstall; will do so sometime tomorrow.

just to confirm, you've never had sifrah installed or enabled? if you have it installed but not enabled you could try removing it entirely, but if you haven't touched it, definitely a bug and thank you for your thorough searching.
i can drop a comment on the sifrah mod page soon about this, if you'd like! not sure if a full clean reinstall will help or not, i could see it maybe working but also not so kind of a crapshoot. :Emil:

Never installed Sifrah, no. The workshop page for it gave very limited info about exactly what it did aside adding a minigame to otherwise automated tasks, so it didn't exactly tickle my fancy.
