Oh I see. Well, that makes sense then. I was hoping it was something more exciting, but it does make sense.
While I'm not really in a financial position to donate money, I will agree that its a silly thing to get upset about. We already get an insane amount of content for free, and it sounds like the donation content is pretty fair.
I'll keep supporting the game the best way I can: by recommending it to anybody i know who might be remotely interested in it. This is one of my favorite roguelikes, and certainly my favorite retail, non-freeware roguelike. The amount of work put into this game stuns me, and it feels like it really does a lot of things in its own, unique way that most games don't really even try to do.
The game costs $15. What in the world are you talking about? You might defend the addition of Patreon content on grounds of necessity, but don't turn that around and try to argue that content added to a for-purchase game during its development is free. That's crazy.
In any case I'm sorry to semi-necro here but there's no other thread about this, and what I'm really here to ask is if the previous pets are available or if they've been shunted into some vault, so that it's already impossible to ever own the complete game.
As for the codes, I'm not sure if you get them retroactively if you subscribe.
