However, having the numpad it isn't really necessary for this game since it essentially has an auto remap option that mostly covers everything. The game even suggests that a player use it right away! But don't rely on just the arrow keys to move, game is designed to have player move like the king in chess, not using diagonals really hurts in the long run...
Game is rebindable. You could do a whole thing with i, h, j, k = North, South, East, West. Then make u = NorthWest, o = Northeast. Whatever and however.
More keys = better nonetheless cuz abilities can also be binded to whatever, and depending on build, it is helpful to have.
Also, and I know this sounds insane, but the game is totally doable with controller. Much slower paced, but essentially all the shoulder buttons become modifiers so the game is able to produce all two-hundred and seventy-eight and a half possible commands available (jk Caves of Qud is super ez to control)
