Which enemies kill you most?
When I first starting playing CoQ it was the plant life (jilted lovers, young ivorys, seed spitting vines), overestimating my ability to close distance with turrets, and generally anytime I held down the movement button rather than patiently tapping the arrows.

After learning the basics, I learned to fear the rhinox and rimewyk. You know that feeling when you turn a wrong corner only to be greeted by instant death? There's no time to react; it's just over, and all you can do is take your hands off the keyboard and sigh. Snailmother dens and worm of the earth swarms were terrible too, but I'd have to say the enemy that consistently gave me the MOST trouble was a twinning lamprey.

These days though, it's explosions. They're effective, indiscriminate of character builds. Generally rockets.

At first it was knolwyrms and salthoppers. They're faster than your base speed so you can't run away.

These days it's explosions. Befriending robots is a big priority for me.

My most common deaths are early-game enemies coupled with moments of stupidity. Issachari rifler is probably the most common (frequently while trying to get a rifle and not being careful as to how many are present), possibly followed by slugsnouts. I die occasionally to Goatfolk sowers as part of swarms (never when they're alone) and the odd esper-hunter.

Early game on the way to the stiltgrounds- dawngliders. I farking hate those things cuz I usually play melee focused. If like 4 spawn on a map and you dont have any fire resistance, there goes another dram of water. Next round, 4 fireballs, youre on fire, there goes another dram. Repeat until dead. Also, goatfolk sowers are a ♥♥♥♥♥ if they suddenly pop out of a group of goatfolk and seed the F out of you.

Goatfolk, at high levels they're still dangerous because you might get a swarm of them by sheer chance, they're deceitful because you find one single goatfolk savage and kill it fine at level 10, but then you get unlucky and find 3 savages, a hornblower, and a shaman, and you die. Happened to me alot until I figured out to avoid the forests.

I will never forgive dawngliders for existing.
Me and my bad decisions.

You've all named the most deadly and consistant killers, but for my money, the worst assassians in the game are the Slugsnouts! I've had many high level and powerful characters fall so fast my head spins. One Slugsnout is dangerous, but two is guaranteed death. :cozycastondeath:

Haha yeah, never mind the mental image of being shot to death by rock hard loogies by a disgusting looking boar thing.

I imagine them having this nasty, slimy writhing boar/short elephant trunk looking snout that spits bone-like "bullets" coated in a huge mass of snot at you.

I find the best way to deal with them is to just hide around a corner until they come to you, but they are one of the ultimate punishers of people who hold down the walk buttons intead of tapping it patiently.

Explosions and being devoured by high level oozes. Gelatinous Antiprism is particularly bad because if they spawn a copy of yourself, you're going to die. Others are bad because once you get out of one, the other engulfs you. You have to waste a lot of healing items or die.

Whenever I go spelunking I always have atleast 10 urberries, saves me from those oozes alot.

The vast majority of my deaths that happen after about level 5 are due to Rimewyks and Rhinoxes. Actually, off the top of my head, I can't think of any specific deaths that weren't attributable to one of those two, though I'm sure that there must have been one or two.

Either ultrafast/teleporting enemies, or explosions. Usually explosions from goatfolk sowers.

Same here. Explosions, mostly... from goatfolk or rocket turrets, etc. I always thought they should nerf explosions a little bit (range perhaps), but it's up to developers to decide.

I think they should make armor decrease explosion damage, the thing that really makes it so strong is that it ignores all armor,
