I've never tested it.
While a player using Precognition gets information out of it, it's possible that this information is "Yeah, there's really no way out of this situation, I just get to see myself die twice instead of once".
A full heal doesn't give you any information but it might actually provide enough of a positive benefit to survive the situation.
Past a certain point, all the psychic predators I fought received an abrupt full heal when I got their health low enough, and I wondered what the hell that was. I guess I have my answer now.
